Daily Crux commentary by Doug Casey on expatriation etc
In his Daily Crux commentary, Doug Casey suggests that more of us, especially in the U.S., and also in Europe, should consider expatriation. He argues that most people, unfortunately, have a peasant mentality and believe that where they were born is the best possible place for them to live. They’re afraid of moving elsewhere — and it’s not serving them well. Especially considering where the world seems to be heading, expatriation appears to be a better and better idea.
My Commentary on the above:
I agree with Doug Casey.
Most Americans are still oblivious to what the government is capable of and cling to the paradigm that the US is the best place to live. One reason that for this stubborn belief is that most Americans in one way or another receive benefits from the government trough (those on social security, Medicare, unemployment as well as those that are directly employed by the government or who work for firms that are tight with the government (Citibank, Halliburton, Goldman Sachs, Tyson foods, American Bar and let’s not forget the American Medical Association).
We don’t realize that the real enemy to freedom is staring back at us in the mirror. We’ve become a nation of welfare recipients
